A one day managers training was held for Baltic Sea authorities, in the framework of the HELCOM Expert Working Group on Oiled Wildlife Response. The training event was hosted by the HELCOM Secretariat in Helsinki and held alongside a seminar Baltic oiled wildlife response and meeting of the HELCOM Expert Working Group.

A course was held for European oiled wildlife authorities to bring participants up to speed with the state of the art issues of (inter)national oiled wildlife response and preparedness. The course was organised for regulators from HELCOM countries, who are charged with coordinating and/or developing an integrated plan for oiled wildlife response preparedness in their country
Authorities from other coastal regions in Europe were also invited to attend the event.
